UV Index

















The UV Index shows how dangerous UV rays are for unprotected skin. The higher the UV Index value, the less time it takes for unprotected skin to exhibit sunburn.
UV Index 0-2: low exposure, no protection required
UV Index 3-5: moderate exposure, protection is required. Use sunscreen with sufficient sun protection factor, at least twice the UVI, for bare skin. Hat and sunglasses are advisable.
UV Index 6-7: high exposure, protection is required. Use sunscreen with sufficient sun protection factor, at least twice the UVI, for bare skin. Wear hat, sunprotective clothing and sunglasses.
UV Index 8 and more: very high exposure, extra protection is required. Avoid being outside during midday. Use sunscreen with sufficient sun protection factor, at least twice the UVI, for bare skin. Wear hat, sunprotective clothing and sunglasses.
